The New York Observer. The New York Observer, LLC. April 5, 2009.〕 and (''Good Kids'' ), a novel. ==Biography== Nugent grew up in Amherst, Massachusetts. He was the original keyboardist for The Cloud Room, an indie rock band based in Brooklyn, New York. Nugent began his literary career as a reporter for ''Time'' magazine, writing mostly about music. Nugent's short story "Ollie the Owl" was published in the Winter 2009 issue of Tin House, and The L Magazine included his story "The Rugby Witch" in their summer 2010 fiction issue. His (essay on Asperger Syndrome ) as well as (the adulterous sins of our father figures ) appear in The New York Times Opinion pages. His essay "Security," about authors and money, appeared in ''Bookmark Now,'' a collection of work by young writers on writing. Nugent has also written pieces for New York Times Magazine, New York Magazine, Good Magazine and n+1. His debut novel ("Good Kids" ) is forthcoming from Scribner. His short story ''God'' was published in the Fall 2013 edition of the Paris Review. Nugent currently lives in Boston.
